Life situations might not give rooms for smiling, remember that frowning or getting angry can't solve the problem either but add to it. Note this, health is wealth. Live healthy by making smiling a habit, which is very beneficial to you and others. When you smile to someone it is contagious, definitely you have made someone smile. 4. Means of attraction: When you smile you attract more people, this enhance the way you interact with people. Even a business person with smiles will eventually attract more customer. If you are smiles a lot, you are like a breath of fresh air that walks into a room.

5. Family unity: Smiling can unite family together when a member cast a smile on other family members often, this warm up and reduces tension among the family members. Every member of the family should smile often to encourage one another.

6. Builds Self Esteem: When you smile it boost your moral level and also take away negative thoughts, by which you are able to do things you can't ordinarily do before. Bringing you closer to your life path.

Sign of Forgiveness: Ordinarily when you see someone you are quarrelling with, it is difficult to smile to that person but when you re-consider and just smile to that person, forgiveness has happened. You can even use smile to seek for forgiveness from a person you have offended, if that person should smile back at you that means you are forgiven. Use the power of smile always.

8. Emotion: Smiling can get you out of depression. Consciously practice smiling exercise everyday, gradually you will see reasons to live and be alive.

9. Faith: Smiling is real and genuine. it is gives you sound mind to generate new ideas and believes. It makes you hold on your faith.

Ogbono soup recipe


                                    HOW TO PREPARE OGBONO SOUP



Ogbono soup is a delicious rich draw soup eat by many Nigerians. It can be prepared in two ways; plain or it can be garnish with vegetables.

Ingredients:

3 cups of Stock
1kg Meat
1 cup Pumpkin leaves or Bitterleaf, nicely chopped
1 cup Ogbono, ground
Dried fish, Stockfish, ponmo
1 cup Crayfish, ground
8 Chilli Pepper to taste
2 Seasoning cubes
1 cup Palm oil
1 Onions
Salt to taste

Steps in preparation:

1. Wash all the ingredients properly
2. Season and boil the meat to obtain the broth
3. When the meat is almost soft, add the stockfish and ponmo
4. Add enough water when the stockfish, meat and ponmo are soft
let it boil
5. Add the ogbono, palm oil and cook for about 5mins
6. Add the chopped pumpkin leaves or bitterleaf, crayfish and seasoning cubes
and boil for another 3 mins and add salt to taste.
Yep! soup is ready, eat with any solid food.

EFO RIRO WITH IRU

Efo Riro is a very popular Yoruba soup in Nigeria, it's nutrious, rich and very healthy. The name ‘efo’ means vegetables, hence it is a rich vegetable soup/stew and it's very delicious.

INGREDIENTS:
Palm Oil
Ata Rodo
Tomatoes
Onions
Salt
Blended crayfish (small and big)
Cow Leg
Goat Meat
Shaki
Vegetable (Spinach, Ugwu)
Iru

STEPS IN PREPARATION
1. Spice and boil goat meat, Cook cow leg, Shaki, cook until tender.
2. Blend tomato, pepper and 1 ball of Onion: do, it is better if not too smooth.
3. Heat up palm oil, add chopped onion till onion is soft and transparent .
4. Pour the blended tomatoes into the pot of oil, add seasoning cube, cow leg, shaki, goat meat , blended crayfish, iru and allow to cook. Continue to stir the contents often so that it does not burn.
After about 10 minutes, depending on the quantity of the the tomato, it should be dry (frying instead of boiling), continue to stir for 2 minutes.
5. Wash your vegetable properly to avoid tasting sand or stone in the soup, then add your vegetable into the content and allow to cook for 5minutes, taste for salt, and add more if it's not tasty enough but avoid too much salt in your food.
Stir until cooked. woo wow wow ahhhhhh!!! soup is ready.
Serve with Rice, Eba, Semo, Yam, Pounded Yam, Eko, fufu and others.

UNRIPE PLANTAIN PORRIDGE: Rich in iron and delicious


How to cook unripe plantain porridge

ingredients

1. 4 pieces of unripe plantain
2. Vegetable (Ugwu leaf), a bunch
3. Fish (titus), 1 big size
4. Red palm oil, enough for the meal
5. Pepper, onions and salt
6. Crayfish
7. Seasoning, 2 cubes

Wash, peel and cut the plantain, wash and cut the ugwu leaf into small pieces, also wash and cut the fish make sure you remove the intestines. Chop the onions into small pieces. Grind the crayfish and pepper. Wash the pot. Now you are ready to cook the unripe plantain.

How to cook:

Put the cut plantain into the pot add the pepper, seasoning cubes, salt, chopped onions, fish, grounded crayfish and palm oil.

Add water to the same level as the content of pot, cover the pot and keep cooking till done, when the unripe plantain is tender to touch.

Add the vegetables, cover the pot and leave to simmer.

Once it is heated up, stir, turn off the heat and leave to cool off for few minutes, before serving.

Serve with any chilled soft drink of your choice. Enjoy your meal and remember to leave a comment.
