HOW TO PREPARE FRIED EGG


Fried egg and bread is a meal that is very common in Nigeria, It's a breakfast food, and very easy to prepare, it's takes about 10minutes. For grown up it's advice to limit fried food to not more than three times in a week for healthy living. Fried egg is also good with boiled yam.  


Eggs are one of the easiest breakfast recipes in Nigeria. I fry eggs between 2 to 4 eggs at the
same time depending on the number of interests and size of frying pan. 

Ingredients: 
for a serve of serve 

  • 4 Fresh eggs 
  • Vegetable/groundnut oil (5cl) 
  • 2 to 3 fresh tomatoes (chop) 
  • 1 bulb of onions (chop) 
  • Fresh pepper (to taste) 
  • Salt to taste 
  • A pinch of maggi 

Preparation: 
I like to fry eggs with lots of onions since I learned about the health benefits of onions. It is also good to eat as much vegetables as you can take.


  1. Chop the tomatoes, pepper and onions, set it aside. 
  2. Break and whisk the eggs, add a pinch of salt and whisk smoothly and put aside. 
  3. Heat your frying pan for a minute 
  4. Add about 5cl of oil, allow to heat for 30 seconds before adding the sliced onions, then tomato/ pepper as well. Fry for 5 to 10 minutes  
  5. Add a pinch of salt (to taste), then about a half cube of stock cube, Stir and then make sure it is spread evenly on the frying pan. 
  6. Then pour in the (already broken and mixed eggs) to cover the sauce.
  7. Allow to fry for a minute before flipping. Allow another 1 minute.
Yup, food is ready, serve with bread and tea or you can opt for yam, enjoy your meal.
